So we arrived at 7pm thinking we booked for this beautiful place over the phone, but mistakenly called some other park on our drive (not even sure who)
So we had no booking, the office was closed, and we were stuck without a place to camp.
Thankfully we rang the after hours number and the lady was so nice and helped us out over the phone giving us a camp spot, and explained everything we needed to know.
Beautiful place and great service !
Lovely family even come over later to make sure we were alright.
Highly recommend this place!
I will be back with the family soon
Great little spot for a weekend getaway. Beautiful well kept park with plenty to do whether it is kayaking, walking or taking a bike ride around the area. Pet friendly and lovely little swimming spot for kids. Will have to come again and visit the restaurant nearby which we glhave been told us well worthwhile a visit too.
This site is not actually dog friendly (misleading advertising) at best mildly dog tolerant, they are very anxious about people with dogs and even came over to tell us off for our dogs barking, when it was actually the site next to us whose dogs were barking, triggered by screaming children. I tried to explain the triggers but the manager was intent on having a go at me and threatening to chuck us out if the dogs barked again even though it wasnt our dogs that barked. Then the next day another manager came over to tell us off because a woman walking past our site complained that our dogs were off the lead, our disabled dog was out of his harness but his back legs don't really work anyway, basically the complainants dog was off the lead and came into our site area, my disabled dog dragged himself over to sniff the dog and say hello (on our site). The site is actually quite nice, but way too packed with campers, it was heaving. The managers clearly are not dog friendly and are very insensitive and clumsy when tackling issues, we were made to feel threatened and unwelcome, so much that we left a day early as it is not relaxing worrying that you are going to be told off or evicted if the neighbours dogs bark. If you don't have dogs or just have a little lap dog that you are happy to shut in the caravan then you will probably like it, otherwise give it miss, screaming children are welcome (particularly late at night and early hours of the morning), so loud families without dogs will love it. We are seasoned campers who have camped globally with and without dogs and we have never been treated so badly before, it was tantamount to bullying.
Great family run business. Visited just before Christmas. Facilities were clean and tidy. Good camp kitchen. With lake front camping. We will be back.
Great caravan park. Choose water's edge or back. Very relaxing and a sleepy hollow. Easy sites to get in with the van.
Fantastic caravan park. Excellent location. Facilities are clean and tidy. Will be definitely visiting again.
First of all, Clare is an amazing staff member. Polite, helpful, open, friendly. Such an asset to this park.
The sites are lovely and well maintained with great views.
Powered sites available and pet friendly.
Great walking track.
No cafes within walking distance (that I could see on google).
Amenities are clean and large.
Stayed in own caravan on a grassed area with floor mat. Very shady trees, lovely atmosphere & serene place. Thoroughly enjoyable.
The hosts ate very friendly people.
